The 9th July 2022 I was invited down to cover the Trade Centre Formula Woman team in action at the Oulton Park GT Cup. This was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the drivers and get a feel for the world of Motorsport
Motorsport Photography is a different breed to regular Automotive Photography. With so much going on behind the scenes along with the constant fast paced action on track, it can be a challenge to time your shots. You need to be extremely quick on your toes as there is a chance you may miss opportunities.

Moving from the qualifying stages and into the pits now for preparation for the main race. I foolishly left Lodge Corner for the pits just as they were finishing qualifying, which left me with just seconds to change my shutter speed, f-stop and exposure values from 'panning mode' and by then most of the action had dissipated. A good idea here would be to give yourself 5-10 minutes to walk over and prepare your gear (and yourself).
